Released in 1971, Fireball is Deep Purple’s fifth studio album and a follow-up to In Rock. It continued their hard rock sound but also experimented with blues and progressive rock elements. While not as universally recognized as Machine Head, it contains some fan-favorite tracks and shows the band’s versatility. The album reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and helped solidify Deep Purple’s reputation in the hard rock scene.
