Released in 1981, Killers is Iron Maiden’s second studio album and the last to feature Paul Di’Anno on vocals. This album introduced guitarist Adrian Smith, adding a more refined twin-guitar attack alongside Dave Murray. Killers expands on the raw, aggressive sound of their debut while showcasing more intricate compositions and faster tempos.

The album is packed with classics like “Wrathchild”, “Murders in the Rue Morgue”, and “Purgatory.” The iconic cover art by Derek Riggs features Eddie, now wielding a bloody axe, standing in front of a dark alley—one of the most menacing depictions of Maiden’s mascot.
